Beat of NYC Productions is expanding! We’re thrilled to announce the newest addition to our growing team: Barrett Crowder, joining us as Producer of Client Experience. With over a decade of involvement in the entertainment and film production industry, Barrett brings a unique blend of on-stage charisma and behind-the-camera expertise. His career spans theatre, television, and film, making him a dynamic asset for both our internal team and the clients we serve.
From Stage to Screen: A Journey Through Entertainment
Barrett’s career began in the theatre world, touring nationally as both an actor and crew member. His love for performing and engaging audiences gave him the foundation to understand storytelling from every angle. He brings that same energy, creativity, and attention to detail to every client interaction, transforming visions into captivating productions.
A Serendipitous Leap Into Film Production
His transition into film production was one born of luck and timing. While in between theatrical productions, he also worked as a birthday party performer, delighting children with a colorful array of original characters. While performing at one particular birthday, he was approached by one of the children’s parents, who happened to be the owner of a boutique production company. The two met for coffee, and so launched Barrett’s career behind the camera.
A Proven Track Record in Television & Theatre
Since then, Barrett has worked with major networks, including:
- NBC on The Equalizer
- The Food Network on Chef Bootcamp
- Discovery Channel on Bee Czar
- AMC on Ride with Norman Reedus
- Discovery Channel on House Hunters

In addition to his experience working with these networks, Barrett has also directed an Off-Off Broadway production of Sam Shepard’s True West and, most recently, worked as a freelance director on the award-winning television series America ByDesign.
